“The question is not—how much does the youth know?… but how much does he care?” – Charlotte Mason
At The Grove, we believe that education is a life, a discipline, and an atmosphere. We are a community of families growing side by side, cultivating not just minds but hearts — nourished by truth, goodness, and beauty.
Guided by the Holy Spirit and inspired by the gentle wisdom of Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy, we strive to cultivate wonder, foster identity, and nurture relationships. Mothers and children alike are invited to grow deep roots —through living ideas, through the Word of God, and through the habits that shape a whole and holy life.
We believe that education is not just about what you know, but who you are becoming. As we learn side by side, we seek to know Him more, to grow in wonder and character, and to offer the shade of love and support to those around us.
Here at The Grove, we:
Seek Truth and Beauty — through Scripture, stories, nature, and the ideas that stir our souls
Belong and Become — by creating an atmosphere of grace, friendship, and growth
Provide Shade — by letting our lives bear fruit that blesses our homes, neighborhoods, and beyond
This is a place to be known, to grow in your calling, and to walk alongside others on a meaningful educational journey.
The Grove started not with a plan, but with a friendship.
Bree, Whitney, and Laura had known each other for years—sharing life, raising kids side by side, and meeting up for Friday breakfasts at Chick-fil-A. Around the same time, each of them began to feel drawn to homeschooling but weren’t sure they wanted to do it alone. So in 2019, as their oldest kids were starting kindergarten, they decided to try it together.
It began small—just the three families taking field trips, learning at home, and figuring things out along the way. Over time, the community between them grew naturally, rooted in a shared desire for something simple and meaningful.
By 2021, they started imagining what it might look like to add a little more structure. When they shared that idea with a few other families, others were excited to join in. That first year as a group, they met outdoors at Conestee Park. No big plan—just a shared desire to create a community where learning was rich, relationships mattered, and the atmosphere was peaceful and life-giving.
As the vision became clearer, they took a leap—finding a church to meet at weekly, setting up classes, and making space for more families to grow alongside them. That’s when The Grove really began to take shape.
We’re still growing, still learning, and still holding fast to what mattered at the very beginning: walking alongside each other in community, pursuing a Charlotte Mason education, and trusting the Lord to guide the way into a rich life for the children and mamas ofThe Grove alike.
